Summer may be halfway over, but the fun at Buda Public Library keeps on going. If you haven't had a chance to pick up a reading log, there is still time! Swing by the Buda Public Library front desk to get your log. In our club, you can read anytime, anything, and anywhere!
How do our reading clubs work? We have three reading clubs: title readers, time readers and teen readers. Our title logs are for newborns through second graders that are mostly reading picture books. They keep up with the titles of the books that they read. Our time log readers (entering 2nd grade through 5th grade) and teen readers (entering 6th through 12th grade) keep track of the number of minutes that they read.
Many local businesses have donated prizes to keep our kids and teens motivated to keep reading all summer long. Because of their support, everyone gets a small prize every time they turn in a reading log and gets chances to win bigger prizes at the award ceremonies at the end of the summer. You can turn in logs until August 5 at 5:00 pm so there’s still plenty of time to get started!
