TexShare Cards

Buda Public Library has resumed the TexShare Card Program. Cards can be picked up through curbside service or in-library. Member standing and checkout requirements will still apply. All Texas libraries are being permitted to make their own determination on TexShare Card Program participation, so please check with other libraries on their requirements/participation.

The Buda Public Library is an accredited member of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. As such, we have access to several state-wide services, including TexShare Cards. This partnership allows Buda Public Library patrons in good standing the opportunity to get library cards at over 500 libraries across the state without having to pay non-residency fees.

How to Get a TexShare Card

  • Patrons must have been active library members in good standing for at least one month.
  • Patrons must have successfully checked out and returned our materials at least once in the past year; items returned very shortly after being checked out do not suffice.
  • Just ask for it at the front desk!
