Back To School

 Here at the library, we are all about learning new things and exploring new skills. With the start of school just around the corner, we wanted to highlight for you some of our materials, programs, and online resources that are available to all library card holders.  

  • Check out this recommended list of materials that can be found in the library to assist with homework, learning a new skill or language, homeschooling, and so much more.
  • Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for upcoming programs.
  • Explore these great electronic resources:
  1. Learning Express offers reviews and homework practices for a variety of subjects, elementary through high school, as well as practice tests for exams such as STAAR, SATs, AP exams and more.  Log in to the Buda Library Catalog and locate Learning Express under Electronic Resources.  Create an account to access content and save your progress.
  2. Universal Class gives you access to over 500 online courses that you can take at your own pace.  Log in to the Buda Library Catalog and click on Universal Class under Electronic Resources.  You will want to create an account to enroll in courses.  
  3. World Book Online is a great place for school age children to explore through articles, multimedia, games and activities.  Simply log in to the Buda Library Catalog and click on World Book Online under Electronic Resources.
  4. Mango Languages is an interactive way to learn a new language.  Log in to the Buda Library Catalog then go to Mango Languages.  Create an account to save your progress.
  5. Book Connections and are both resources found in our TexShare Databases and give you access to book trailers, author recordings, discussion questions and activities for numerous books, and help finding books to read next.  Log in to the Buda Library Catalog and click on TexShare Databases.  Find Book Connections and by searching through the databases alphabetically.
