  1. Introduction to Machine Quilting

    Learn quilting terminology, tools, and how to sew common quilt patterns, such as flying geese, half square triangle, quarter square triangles. Additional time after the class will allow participants additional technique and practice. Sign up for both the class and practice if you are interested completing a quilt block. Participants must sign up for the class in order to register for practice time. Prerequisite: Basic sewing knowledge and comfortable using a sewing machine. Ages 15 and up.

Makers' Lab Open Hours and Classes

  1. Makers' Lab Open Hours

    The purpose of the Buda Public Library's Makers' Lab is to provide a community work space where library users can come to create, explore, collaborate, and innovate. The Makers' Lab will be open to the public during Open Hours where users can use a variety or tools and resources to work through projects. During open access hour, minors under the age of twelve are not permitted but are welcome during age specific programs (see website for details). Minors 12-18 must have a parent/guardian sign an agreement.

    Our Makers' Lab is home to many awesome items and tools. Assist with Makers' Lab Open Hours, taking inventory of maker bins and preparing them for circulation to local schools, and testing new items and making sample projects.

  2. James: Shelving and Maintaining Shelf Order

    September 7, 2019, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM @ Buda Public Library

    Organizes, straightens and shelves library materials on children's cart including books, CDs, DVDs, and periodicals. Volunteer will also assist with cleaning up Family Place Toys.
